Now with new, more efficient stoves burning wood is more environmentally friendly than it’s ever been. With fewer emissions and more efficient heating you’ll have a clean conscience when burning wood. Also being self-sufficient can be really rewarding, since you won’t be dependent on electricity or gas to keep your house warm. Even you don’t completely get rid of your electric or gas heat at least you can always fall back on wood heating if your primary heating source should fail.

4. The fireplace feel.

If you want to heat your family room with a fireplace feel you can choose to get a fireplace insert. The insert can easily fill a room with soothing warmth and the glass door makes it easy to view the fire without losing any efficiency.
